Vehicle Crime

Good afternoon,

We have received several reports of vehicle crime around Ashfield Road, Rossington Avenue, Crofton Avenue.

These reports mainly concern people trying vehicle doors overnight.

These incidents are a reminder that vehicle crime can happen quickly and often when least expected.

🔒 Crime Prevention & Safety Advice:

. Always lock your vehicle - even if you're only leaving it for a short time.

. Remove valuables (bags, purses, wallets, tools, electronics) or keep them completely out of sight.

. Park in well-lit areas or on driveways close to your home whenever possible.

. Use additional security such as steering wheel locks, alarms, or immobilisers.

. Check your van security -consider reinforced locks or tool safes if carrying expensive equipment.

. Report suspicious activity (people looking into vehicles, trying door handles, etc) to police on 101, or 999 in an emergency.
